fun with acrylic

For my second attempt at opening a bottle,
I tried bending the 1/8" acrylic to give it more strength. I used the bottle as the form.
It opened the bottle, but I knew I could do better.
.
For the third round of prototypes I decided to combine both curved and flat plains.
My idea in doing this was to maximize the amount of surface contact with the
bottle cap. This time I used the bottle to bend half of the acrylic and a flat piece of metal
to help hold the original flat shape.
.
By mistake I stretched the acrylic too far, but it turned out to give more surface contact with the bottle cap.
.
This one worked great!
